ASHLEY FRIDAY

GW Junior Counselor
LCPC, GWU Intern

Ashley is a graduate counseling intern at Healing Practice Counseling and works with children, adolescents, emerging adults, and adults. She completed her bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Delaware and is currently pursuing her Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The George Washington University. Ashley's experience spans behavioral health, disability services, and clinical mental health settings, where she has supported children, adolescents, adults, and families across educational and mental health environments. She believes that healing begins with feeling genuinely seen, heard, and accepted; that every individual has unique strengths that can foster growth and meaningful change; and that growth often begins with the small moments of feeling understood, accepted, and empowered to move forward. Ashley enjoys helping clients navigate anxiety, trauma, grief and loss, life transitions, identity exploration, and relationship challenges while creating a warm, collaborative space where they can better understand themselves, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels authentic and fulfilling. Ashley's integrative therapeutic approach primarily draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
