Your Healing Practice Starts Today

Therapy for coming home to yourself.

When you spend your days pouring into everyone else's cup, it's easy to miss how empty your own has gotten. We believe that healing is more about rediscovering who you are than becoming someone different, and this is the space to do just that.

Healing Practice Counseling (HPC) is built on the idea that holistically supporting your mind, body, soul, and sense of self in an authentic, judgment-free zone empowers you to metabolize problematic experiences, live beyond coping, and truly heal.

Individual Therapy

Using evidence-based modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS) to individually meet you where you are and walk beside you to where you want to be.

Couples Intensives

Using the couples therapy style Intimacy From the Inside Out (IFIO) to help couples understand their patterns, attachment injuries/style, and each other.

Family Counseling

Supporting families in a way that helps them recalibrate their ecosystem, heal their dynamic, and build a new foundation bolstered by the love they share.

Group Counseling

Creating a space where clients can learn, grow, and heal with a community of like-minded individuals who share similar experiences, goals, and challenges.

Meet our team ♡

As the CEO and a psychotherapist of Healing Practice Counseling, Inc, I have grounded my practice in Internal Family Systems (IFS) theory. This theory focuses on the healing of the various parts within the system that makes up every individual. With the persistent stress of the pandemic, the complexities and challenges of everyday life have heightened within the systems of many people. The IFS modality creates an individualized therapeutic container of safety, confidence, openness, and compassion. My journey as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor gave me the background in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety/depression, grief, attachment styles, trauma, navigating boundaries, and practical daily coping skills, including executive functioning issues.

I employ the Internal Family Systems (IFS) model of psychotherapy, fostering understanding and connection to inner my patients' selves by relaxing their judgment, inner critics, workaholic and perfectionist parts. This unique approach enables my clients to authentically address their desires and opportunities for growth within themselves and their relationships, fostering genuine growth and accountability. Many clients initially resist this introspection, having spent years attributing their unhappiness to external factors. Often, it's their own fears hindering them from embracing their true desires and needs. Through our work together, they learn to courageously inhabit their lives.

Additionally, I am an empathic, insightful, and relational therapist who is committed to building a therapeutic relationship and a treatment plan together with my patients. I began my journey in behavior health nearly two decades ago, earning a Bachelor of Science in Social Work with a focus on Afro-American studies from the University of Nevada Las Vegas. In addition, I graduated Summa Cum Laude in 2014 with my Master of Arts in Counseling and Human Services with an emphasis in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health degree from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs.

Our team of psychotherapists here at Healing Practice Counseling, Inc. is not only well-versed in the individual and interpersonal factors that contribute to mental health, but also the intergenerational, communal, and structural contributors.
