She holds a Master's Degree in Counselor Education and has a background in School Counseling. Geraldine is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Diné Culture and Language Sustainability.
As a certified Diné Language and Culture Instructor, Geraldine possesses a profound understanding of generational cultural language deeply rooted in the teachings of Diné elders and training acquired from the Institute for Diné Culture, Philosophy, and Government, LLC. She is committed to preserving cultural languages, recognizing their essential role in maintaining core identity, values, and principles. Geraldine has further demonstrated her dedication by providing training to Bureau of Indian Education (BIE) educators, focusing on parent engagement in Diné culture and language use.
Geraldine's holistic approach integrates a culturally responsive understanding, the mind-body-spirit connection, and personalized goal setting. She creates a safe and inclusive space for clients, helping them navigate life transitions, manage anxiety, and achieve their career goals. Her approach stems from a holistic circular Diné conceptual wellness model, a framework that emphasizes the importance of connecting with one’s cultural identity.
