Clinical Social Worker

Keri Sartin is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing in DC and Maryland for over 15 years. She has worked in a variety of settings including private practice, foster care and the DC Public Schools.  Keri has an extensive knowledge of the foster care/adoption process as well as the special education and section 504 systems and provides support for families as they endeavor to have the best outcomes for their children.  She specializes in Child Centered Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist. Keri also works with the family unit as a whole through parenting and behavioral coaching to achieve balance and harmony.

In addition to her extensive work with children, Keri has a passion for engaging adults in the therapeutic process of change using both Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  Keri firmly believes that anxiety, stress, depression, and simply adjusting to new ways of life can be addressed by establishing a therapeutic relationship which gives individuals the opportunity to explore thoughts, feelings, and patterns of behavior. Most importantly, this relationship provides the opportunity to help establish and learn new coping skills and techniques to better manage daily stressors and symptoms.
